Bloom CycleStudio Silva Systems: Design Academy Eindhoven06–2024, Eindhoven NL

An alternative to traditional cut flowers;

Designed to reduce the strain on the flower industry and enhance appreciation for the natural lifecycle of plants through promoting biodiversity. This system enables individuals to enjoy fresh flowers indoors without the environmental impacts associated with cut flora. Featuring a catalogue of native Dutch wildflowers, it empowers customers to design their own „growing bouquet.“ Rather than opting for pre-arranged bouquets, users select a personalized mix of seeds to cultivate in their pots, directly engaging with the growth of flowers and fostering a deeper understanding of their ecological roles.

Central to the Bloom Cycle is a rotation system that transitions flower pots between the outdoors and indoors, serving as an extension to cut flowers. This process allows plants to recover and thrive in their natural environment, supporting sustained biodiversity while enabling enjoyment indoors.
